I officially have a 5 year old!

Our Colden turned five on Friday!! We can hardly believe we actually have a 5 year old!! Colden is actually at a great age...we have great conversations and he has the best imagination! We are very proud of him and the sweet boy he is turning out to be!

On Friday (his actual birthday), we met Brian downtown for lunch and hung out at the waterfront for awhile. We played games and rode the carousel too!

Friday night, we got Zeek's pizza (Colden's choice) and family came over to celebrate with us! It was a fun night and Colden was so excited he didn't fall asleep until 10pm and woke up at 4:30am wanting to play with his new toys!! Needless to say, we were pretty much zombies on Saturday!

We had a "friend" celebration at the Bouncy House on Sunday...pictures to come!!

Fall City Farms Field Trip x2

For the past two days, I have been on two field trips to the same place with a different child each day! = ) We get to go to Fall City Farms on a field trip each year with Glory Days preschool! My kids were scheduled on two different days back to back! It was fun to be able to spend time with each one of them and it was neat to be apart of Brindley's first field trip experience!

They learn about the farm (who knew the most important animal on the farm was a bee!), make apple cider, take a hay ride, and harvest a pumpkin!

*I took my horrible, tiny camera to have my hands free and not worry about my nice camera, but clearly there is something wrong with it...so the pics aren't that great!*

Getting ready to make apple cider!

FINALLY... A big girl room for Brindley!

Brindley finally has her big girl room! It was a long road and I won't bore you with details, but what matters is that her room is complete and we couldn't be happier with it!

soccer begins x2

A new season of soccer began for the kids last Sunday! It was Brindley's first time and she LOVED it! We are counting down the days till our next practice!

Grandma Cathy was able to join us for our first practice and the kids were elated that she came to watch them!

Seek Justice Challenge!

Brian and the kids participated in the Internatinal Seek Justice Challenge at our church this morning! Brian ran a 10K and the kids did a fun run! The course for the run was VERY challenging and Brian rocked it!! = ) He got first in his age division and overall was 18th out of 52 runners!

The kids rocked the fun run as well! It was a small obstacle course, that they could do over and over...Brindley did awesome, she never wanted to stop!!

Proud of my little family!

Water and snack break!

Brindley's First Day of Preschool!

I cannot believe I'm actually writing a post about Brindley going to preschool! It's just so hard for me to believe she is old enough! It is so bitter sweet...I certainly don't want her to grow up, but I enjoy every minute of her sprouting into the girl that she is.

She is beyond ready for school (part of that due to her brother going for the last couple years), she has wanted to go since Colden started last year. All summer she asked when it was her turn. Finally...it was her turn!

Surprisingly we had a few tears at home before school started...her nerves got the best of her, but as soon as her backpack was on, she was ready! I'm so proud of this girl and love watching her grow!!
