A Disneyland Birthday...

We had a fabulous trip to Disneyland!!  Not only is Disneyland the happiest place on earth, but it has to be the best place to spend your 5th birthday!  Brindley had a very special 5th birthday!  The weather was amazing, and we had so much fun!  We spent most of our time at Disney, but ventured to California Adventure and Legoland!  We were up late each night watching fireworks, Fantasmic and World of Color!

Waiting for the Main Street Parade!
 Meeting Ariel!
 Breakfast at Ariel's Grotto!
Colden only wanted his picture with Aurora and Mulan!  The others weren't worth his time!  HA!

My big bro was in town!

My brother was here for a visit from Germany!  It was so great to see him and spend time together!  Unfortunately his family couldn't come along, so we missed see them, but we are so thankful we could see Mike!

Happy Easter!

We had a fun Easter...I think best of all was the sunshine!

The Easter Bunny hid eggs indoors and outdoors this year! After we hunted for eggs, we went to church...both kids sang in the Easter Choir and did so great (don't have any great pics of that)! We hosted Easter Brunch and had most of our family here!

Dying Eggs!Hunting for eggs!Aww...Family pic...what's with the faces?

Kindergarten Basketball!

Colden had a very fun season of basketball...his first official season! He had kids from his class on his team, which made it extra fun! It was neat to see him grow in the sport, but also to see him grow to really like it!

happy heart day!

Happy Heart Day!

We had a great, but busy Valentine's Day! I was able to split my time between Colden and Brindley's classrooms!

First was Brindley's! She has the most creative, amazing teachers ever! They had such a fun time with face painting, cookie decorating, pinning the arrow on the heart, passing out Valentines and having delicious snacks!
I was able to see them do the Pledge of Allegiance! Brindley is the flag holder! = )Cookie decorating!Saying a prayer!
I was a part of the planning committee for Colden's party, so of course it was so fun! ; ) We had BINGO, cookie decorating, a glittery craft, beading, and another cute craft!

So different at the elementary level...maybe not quite as fun or decorated! I'll miss that when both my babes are in school next year.
Colden and his buddy, Evan!

So blessed to be able to be there for my kiddos and thankful for my Mom who takes the other child when I'm away with the other one! How do people have more than 2 kids???

leavenworth getaway!

We went on a weekend getaway to Leavenworth! It was an absolute blast! The town was still decorated with all the lights from Christmas, we actually really enjoyed the town's spirit! So pretty!

Colden and Brindley's favorite part was definitely swimming in the hotel pool! We went in the evening when we checked in on Friday, twice on Saturday and again before we checked out! Apparently they miss their swim lessons!

We also enjoyed venturing out to one of our favorite little towns, Plain. They have the best hardware store that also happens to be a darling little store with jewelry, candles, etc! I found many goodies!

We walked thru all of the Leavenworth shops as well...I was so sad to find my favorite store that had mostly antiques and old fashioned decor to be closed. There was always a little old man behind the counter so proud of his store and so friendly, I will miss him and his store!

We also found time for a sleigh ride! The weather was absolutely gorgeous and the snow looked like it had sparkles in it as the sun glimmered down on it! Beautiful!
Out in front of Plain Hardware!

Ready for our sleigh ride!

Breathtaking views!

snowmageddon

We just got through one crazy storm here in Issaquah! It was really quite awesome! We were hopeful for snow...which we got...10 inches!

However, after the snow came an ice storm. It was really quite incredible, but very destructive. We only lost our power for about 12 hours, but there are others that still do not have power. After a day or two without power, it gets old. Going one day was very fun for us and the kids!

SNOWMAGEDDON 2012

This little rear wheel drive ain't goin' no where!

Ice was so heavy on the trees, that most of the trees looked like this!
Out on a sledding adventure!

Sunglasses in the dark is a must! ; )
Dinner with candlelight was fun! Thank goodness for a gas stove and fireplace!
