it's all in the details...

Well, I got you first day of school pics before kid bedroom pics, but I'll have you know...both kids were back in their room before school started!  Whew!

Haven't taken all the pics of their rooms yet as we are finishing up closet doors...more to come!

I am a super observant, detail-oriented person...sometimes it's a bad thing...sometimes it's a good thing.  Details matter to me, I notice the little things that are unique.

Below are some of my favorite details in the house!

Here it is...the fav of the house...well one of the fav's...Colden's wood wall.  We chose cedar planks and rusty nails for an entire wall in his room!  It smells great and looks amazing!
Doors and door knobs...yup...I notice...and LOVE these!

Beadboard ceilings...we have them in the kitchen and Brindley's room!
More knobs...I love these cuties from Anthropologie in the kid's bathroom!
Our custom built in shelves to add a little character!
 Lights...lights...lights...love...love...love!
More beadboard...and the details in the woodwork!  Yum!
Brick fireplace...we went from marble to brick...LOVE!
This floor is a hot topic!  Light gray brick (this is in our back entry, aka mini mud room & laundry)!
Part of our mudroom...hooks (also another obsession I have)!
Storage in our kitchen bench and love the pull handle (don't mind the bug that is sitting below the handle...our windows have been open a lot lately)!
Ahh...subway tile in the kitchen with gray grout!  Swoon!
My basket drawers in the kitchen!!!
My little hiding spot in the island for one of our coffee pots (yes, we have two). And yes, a yellow island!
 My apron sink!!!!!!!!
Oh the love for my hardwood stairs and white banister (that use to be a solid wall and carpet)!
 Faucets...yes, I notice!
And last, but not least...heat vents/registers!  Only I would really care...

So there is a sneak peek of some of our favs!  We JUST finished the majority of the house.  Some work cut out for us this weekend and one more mini project, but then we are 100% done for now.  ;)
