A Slight Sweet Tooth...

Yesterday I decided to take the kids and venture to U-Village (one of my favorite places ever)! I had one thing in mind...making a stop at Trophy Cupcakes...it just opened! I chose the peanut butter & jelly cupcakes...yes, that's right...pb & j! YUMMO! It was delightful! I also ordered vanilla (a safe bet for the kids) and a Smores for Brian. Well...Brian opted to eat the left over vanilla which forced me of course, to have the Smores! Watch out! Seriously...marshmellow frosting...slightly toasted...grahmn cracker on the bottom...need I say more? I had two in one day...but I have to tell you I worked it off today big time!

Daddy's Day!

Happy Father's Day Brian! I can't begin to tell you how blessed I am to have you in my life, let alone how blessed our children are to have you as their father! You amaze me everyday and make me smile when I watch you with Colden & Brindley! I love you!

Happy Father's day to all you wonderful Dads out there! Our Dads are heavy on our hearts today as we think of them in Heaven.

We had a pretty laid back day today, which was so nice because we were busy yesterday with the garage sale! We did so great! So great in fact, we bought ourselves a new camera...Nikon D60 and we are in love with it! We played with it a bit today and so far it really has made a great impression on us!

I was trying to convince Colden to wear his way cool boots in the rain today! It didn't work...but I did get this picture of him...which I can't wait to use as blackmail later on! = ) If only we wore the same size!

Haircuts!

The kids got their haircut yesterday!  We have a terrific lady that cuts their hair!  She put a cute braid in Brindley's this time...still cutting a "bob" on her, I kinda like that it matches mine!  = )  And Colden got to spray red in his hair!  He kept saying, "I'm a rock star!"

Graduation at the Little Gym!

Today Brindley graduated from Little Gym for the summer! We will be doing it again in the Fall! I'm very impressed with the Little Gym, it has been very helpful to Brindley with her gross motor skills!

Last Day of Preschool!

Yesterday was the last day of Preschool for the summer! I can hardly believe it! When I look back at pictures of the beginning of the school year and compare them with today's...I'm amazed at how much Colden has grown. He had a terrific year with terrific teachers and I'm very thankful that he will be going back again next year! I'm so proud of you Colden!

Happy 9th Anniversary!

We had such a special 9th Anniversary!  We had pedicures together (yes, Brian can admit pedicures are awesome), and we had dinner ALL ALONE...thanks to my Mom!  The most exciting thing was... we had our rings redone & got to pick them up on our anniversary!  This took a lot of thinking and time!  If you think about it, we were 20 when we got engaged...we hardly new what we would want in rings...but were very happy for the 11 years that we had them!  Brian's was most important, as it was my Dad's original wedding band, so we took it and split the original band in half and added platinum between the two gold bands. So he still has the original pieces, but now has added something of his own!  My ring went through a large transformation!  I really longed for platinum (it was yellow gold), and a more antique/vintage type look.  I researched a lot (we've been talking about this for a couple years), and found exactly what I wanted!  So we did it!  Might have made sense to wait till our 10th, but we decided to go for it now instead!  

I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful husband, who happens to also be the most awesome Daddy ever!  There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think to myself how blessed I truly am!  So...thank you Brian for all the years that we have been together and for all that you provide and do for our beautiful family!  I love you to pieces!

Our new rings!!  Really hard to tell from this picture what mine looks like up close.  My main diamond is in the middle with a halo of my original wedding band diamonds around it.  The sides have tiny chip diamonds with paved sides!  I ADORE IT!  

Children's Symphony

I scored some tickets to the Children's Symphony Tiny Tots program.  It was so much fun!  Both kids were really engaged and had a fun time!  I would completely recommend this!  Before the show began, the kids got to explore some instruments!
